Barakah Center does not collect your personal information. Your Book Club additions are saved only in your own browser's local storage — we cannot see them.
Barakah Center ("we", "us", "our") is a free Islamic companion website providing duas, prayer times, Zakat calculation, 99 names of Allah, Islamic book recommendations and spiritual wellbeing resources. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information in connection with your use of our website.
We want to be clear about what we do not do:
When you use the Prayer Times tool, your chosen city name and calculation method are sent to the Al-Adhan API to retrieve prayer times. We do not store this request or your location. Please refer to Al-Adhan's own privacy policy for how they handle API requests. If you use "My Location", your device's GPS coordinates are sent directly to Al-Adhan's servers — they are not stored by us.
Books you add to the Book Club are saved in your browser's localStorage — a storage mechanism that lives entirely on your own device. We have no ability to read, access or retrieve this data. Clearing your browser data will remove your saved books.
Like all websites, our hosting provider may automatically record standard access logs (IP address, browser type, pages visited, timestamps) for security and operational purposes. These logs are not used for tracking individuals and are typically deleted after a short retention period consistent with our hosting provider's policies.

Barakah Center currently does not display advertisements. However, we may introduce advertising in the future to help cover the costs of running and improving the site. If and when we do, this Privacy Policy will be updated to reflect the specific ad networks used and any data they may collect.

The duas, prayer times, Zakat calculations, and all other content will remain free, accurate, and unaffected by commercial relationships. Barakah Center is suitable for all ages. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Since we collect no personal information from any user, there is no special risk to children's privacy in using this site.
Because we collect almost no personal data, there is very little data to secure. The Book Club data stored in your browser's localStorage is protected by your device's own security. We recommend keeping your browser and device software up to date.
Since we do not collect personal data, there is typically nothing for us to provide, correct or delete. If you have concerns about data from our hosting provider's server logs, you may contact us and we will do our best to assist.
